Supply of Prescriptions
European legislation states that patients should receive a patient information leaflet with their medicines. The best way to achieve this is by dispensing patient packs and therefore it is The WellMan Clinic policy to dispense medicines in original packs, where possible. There are a few exceptions where this is not appropriate, for example a short course of antibiotics, when the pack may be split.
Patient packs usually come as a 4 to 56 day supply and therefore patients should expect to receive a one-month supply of medicine. If smaller packs are available they will be used. The patient packs will only be split in exceptional circumstances.
